Apparently you do not understand the concept of age appropriateness and parental responsibility.
Kids should be taught from day one about dangers...of course. But you can do that without exposing the ugliness...you can educate a child about not taking candy from a stranger and about inappropriate behaviour without violating their innocence.
the same applies to this santa debate. The teacher should have handled this appropriately and directed the kids to speak to their parents about it..as Sly said she could have spoken about the origin of Santa Claus or the concept of Santa Claus without addressing religion...this would have educated the child without violating their innocence.
