Submission Services

You have all used one at one time or another?

Has anyone ever been... happy? With one? If so, which one? And are there any we should stay away from, in your humble opinion?

I have tried:

Russian Submitter, It is OK... Would be nice if it just FTP'd the pages to my server for me.

Advanced Submitter, So many things went wrong that I got blacklisted a bit. But then again, I did get a lot of good converage.

Perfect Submitter, lamest piece of software you can ever come across, unless you are the programers mother, though, you still wouldn't understand how to use it.

Has auto FTP uploading capabilities, inhouse rule checking (won't stop a cheater from cheating completely but helps recognize and isolate potential problems with your gallery you may not even realize) plus a reward program where you earn credits with each submission (even if a free user) that can go towards free hosting, free content and other webmaster services. I also speak fluent english so you don't need a translator to get proper support =)

I only have about 600 active TGPs in the database at this time but that's mainly due to the fact I actually scrub the database removing shit TGPs, TGPs with insane reciprocal rules, don't actually update their sites, etc.

I'm also finishing up version 3 which will allow complete database customization as well, automated thumbnail uploads to the TGPs that support it and a number of other features.

I used a submission service once. It was in Seattle last year. The bitch was so fucking submissive it scared me. She had my arms tied behind my back and she was squirting me with a ketchup bottle shouting "ohh my cockatablo king, show me your wares"

If you got blacklisted because of Advanced Submitter you obviously were not doing somthing right. Check there forum and ask questions there.

My preference goes to Advanced Submitter, but it's my point of view.

I have been using Russian Submitter but get better results submitting by hand to just a few quality sites, rather than the 100's of garbage sites on the RS list.

Ready to try something new.

Actually... if you know a few simple unix commands, you can use Russian Submitter a hell of a lot faster.

Just setup your gallery in Russian Submitter, and let it create the pages. Then open up a telnet/ssh session on your server... and use wget to grab the gallery page tarball, and the recip image tarball directly to your server. Make sure they're located in the correct directory locations.

Then simply "tar -zxf" both files, and remove the original tarballs.

Now you just saved yourself the step of downloading to your local machine, and then re-uploading all the files

Great ideas on the unix commands... All of which I know... Now get me a low cost server that will let me use a remote shell... The only one I have right now that does charges a bundle for my bandwidth so I currently ftp the galleries into my stripped down static pages server with cheap as hell bandwidth...

As for buying clicks from spottraders, I have spent about $20 bucks on over 10,000 clicks on some galleries that were already paying by posting. On spot trader, not a single dime yet. I am wondering if I spend $140 on 100,000 uniques, will it get any better?

I don't know what you are talking about, guys. New version of Russian Submitter which is operative at least for two months (probably it's still beta, but worked fine for me yet in October) makes all uploads automatically. You just need to configure FTP access properly. No ssh/telnet required.

I purchased about 40'000 clicks once. Nothing. Considering that their traffic mostly originates from CJ type TGPs there is nothing to be surprised at. Normal ratio for CJ kind of traffic is just about 1:40'000. I suspect also that most of sellers are just those who cannot convert their traffic right. So the traffic is pretty low in quality by default. It may work for some people though...
