What is the deal with Magic Johnson

It was like 12 years ago that he announced he had HIV, is he going to die sometime soon? And what about Greg Louganis? He's been HIV positive since 1988 and he's still alive.

These guys must be taking some serious pills to keep them alive this long.
I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.

interesting... still a mystery for most of us.
      does Magic really have AIDS?

What about the doctors? Doctors lie. Anyone with that many years of education has learned to lie properly. But why would Johnson lie? Who knows. This is a man who convinced himself that he could host a talk show. He's Magic. Who knows what, if anything courses through his mind.

If Earvin 'Magic' Johnson does not die within the next five years, he will never die- not from AIDs, not from cancer or from old age. I will die before him. But considering the time of my likely demise, that's not saying much. A list then, of people who will die before him: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Britney Spears, Haley Joel Osment and Haley Joel Osment's grandson.

This brings me to my conclusion- that basketball players are immune to AIDs. Oh yes. No? That sounds crazy? Think again

Early detection, cutting edge drugs, lots of $, disciplined healthy diet and excercise, these have been the components of Magic's ability to fight off the virus.

I thought you could have HIV for years and with the possibility that full blown AIDS will never develop and that there will never be any side effects.

I dont think it follows that HIV always and necessarily has bad side effects.... perhaps im wrong?

I've heard that Magic only has HIV and not AIDS, which seems amazing considering how long he's had it.
