Ah, so he SAYS ;) . My uncle once told his wife he was mugged to cover up the fact that he'd been having some wild sex with another women and got scratched up a bit.
Now, even if you have an open relationship, it's sometimes still more exciting to do it behind your back and lie about it. Makes you feel like you're getting away with something.
