don't sweat the small stuff...life is too short...your wife should of respected your opinion and waiting until she could of talked you into letting her take your daughter....I had my ears pireced at 4 almost 5..we were at the mall and we passed the piercing pogoda and I asked if i could do it...I chickened out and got down...as we left the mall I changed my mind and went up and did it...it did not hurt I remember clearly...I might of been 4 but I already knew what i wanted!SIG TOO BIG! I would normally say "So what...big deal", but the main issue is that your wife went behind your back when she knew you were against it.
On the other hand, I was married to a guy who called it "trashy" when I got mine pierced the second time. So, when it came time to get my daughters ears pierced, I didn't listen to him either.

My cousin just had her 6 month old's ears pierced. My grandmother did all of theirs and my little sisters when they were all that same age. I don't see anything wrong with it.
