SEGuru, why am I being spammed by you?!?

Just got an e-mail to my webmaster address, I never submitted it to SEGuru.net, so you must obviously have purchased a list from some less honest sponsor. You just stooped to the levels of any low-life spammer, if I ever had any respect for you it's long gone now.

BTW, the unsubscribe link goes to seguru.net, just in case you feel like blaming it on one of your affiliates.

I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,

I guess SeGuru is not good enough to get SE or other legit traffic to his site, so he has to jam it down our throats like any common, low-life spammer selling other worthless products and services.
Whatever credibility he might have had is gone now.

I never buy Spamvertised products so I'll add his domain to my local block list. Perhaps he deserves a nice new shiny Spamcop and Net.Abuse.Sightings listing too as a bonus.

he definitely got his hands on a bad list.

Im trying to figure out what could possibly be the source. Two of them were the webmaster@ addresses for domains i have that used to be link sites about 3 years ago.

I think the only places those might have been submitted are a couple other link sites and dmoz.

Ever notice that pretty much everything added to the Constitution after the original was a mistake.

I'll second that, I get occasional spams sent to an address used to sign up only at lightspeed (the spammers got the addresses because they stuffed up a webmaster mailout and clear cc'd everyone), but the spam from seguru did NOT go to that address. At this stage I do not think that the list originated from lightspeed.

I'd be interested to know if he's spamming anyone and everyone in the hope that a small percentage of the recipients are webmasters, or he actually has a webmaster list pulled from somewhere...

I got their SPAM on two seperate emails. One definetely seems to from a sponsor list, the other I don't know about. Perhaps he is using multiple lists.

Also SeGuru chose a SPAM friendly host. The email server is already on the Spamcop blocklist . His webhost and email server are both hosted hostcloud.com/pago.net so if he uses the "rougue affiliate" excuse , he is full of it.
