Fuck you MediaTickets, you scumbags

I have been going through hell the last 6 days, with fucking popups, redirections, you name it...I had tried a bunch of adaware products to get rid of it.

Turns out, this is all because of what MediaTickets installed on my computer. First you mother fuckers spam your shit to me on icq, then email, than all over the boards, and then my computer gets hijacked by your piece of crap software. You are on my shit list. You little worthless pricks.

I have seen them spam the boards before, that didnt bother me THAT MUCH, since their spams were comical...you usually had a guy who registed the day before with 3 posts coming on saying they made $27671 with MT, so if anything, it was amusing...

But then you look at the whole picture, how they have no fucking ethics, anyone using MediaTickets, you are doing a dis-service to this industry and yourself. They are a disgrace.

They called us and asked us to call them back as they were interested in buying some advertising from us for their mediatickets site.

We called back and all they wanted us to do was to push their sites, they were'nt interested in buying advertising from us at all.

Now I don't mind if people ask me to push them traffic, I do however mind it when people call under false pretenses.

I don't doubt it.. I talked to them a bit on ICQ. Asked about the toolbar, and they were all.. it'll be used later to help people do something or other blah blah blah, but I didn't get the feeling that this was some big well funded operation that could site around for a couple years paying for installs and not using them for anything..

Plus am I the only one that thinks 15 cents to basically totally hand over total control of someone's browser to someone else is kind of.. on the low end?

I wouldn't do that for less then like 50-75 cents an install.

I love it when one guy was all excited on ICQ for a while, but when I said I wasn't intrested he got all personal and tried to attack me. Kept saying how my sites didn't even have traffic.. Kept asking for my sites, after he told me I didn't have any traffic.. since all the real players already promoted them.

As far as I know he got my icq from AWI tgp trade forum where I was looking for new trades for a site I hadn't launched yet.

After he apparently went back to thre tread to see what site I had. Now realizing the site had very little traffic he kept referring to the new site which had 100 hits or so and apparently thought that was my only site.

Sounds lame now that I write it, but It was hilarious, too bad I can't post the log since I put his ass on ignore and deleted him.

..and I'm off.

Anyone who thinks someone only scams surfers needs to taker a reality check. Some think less of webmasters than they do surfers. It's all a game to them they have scamming in their blood.

Here's a little story.

A frog was sitting on the side of a river when a Scorpion came up to him and asked if he would carry him across the river on his back.

The frog said no, stating the scorpion would sting him. The scorpion replied he would not as it would be madness to do that. So the frog agreed to carry him over.

Half way the scorpion stung the frog and the frog said why did you do that, as now we will both die. To which the scorpion replied.

Moral of the story is some will trick and con you even when it's not in THEIR best interests.
