    google scam ?

    One day I decided to give a try to their adwords
    service.
    I sign up add my cc details they activate me ($5 activation fee).
    and I start working on some campaigns.
    So far so good.
    One month latter besides the advertising costs
    they charge me the activation fee again.
    What the heck ?
    My bank statements shows I've been charged the activation
    fee at the time I signed up.
    I send them and e-mail and they say the first activation fee
    hasn't happened altho when you add your cc details
    they clearly state: "Your account will be charged a USD $ $5.00
    activation fee upon continuing".
    Anyone else seen this ?
    Do you ever check your bank statements for such things ?

    I know $5 its shit and I could care less about them.
    Its the fact that bothers me.

                              I would be ok with that.
                              Only problem is they say its the activation fee
                              which I'm pretty sure they charge it when you activate
                              your account and not one month latter.

                                  all i have heard today i people who have had problems with internet based companys, google, paypal etc. man life is so shit. I say go get you 5 bucks back. cause if you owed them 5 bucks they would hunt you down.

                                                      just email them... same thing happened to me... they refunded the fee and added some bonus credit to my adwords account as as a gesture...

                                                      try working with people first then if that doesnt work start charging back etc

                                                              $5.00 Is not a lot of money, but I would also want to know why I was charged without reason. The people who are attacking this guy seem to be the ones who try to prove that they are financially well off. I'm sure if you see an extra $5.00 added to a store purchase you would question it as well, or try to find out whats up.

                                                              I never had this happen to me, but it could possibly be that your account was not actively being used prior to the second activation charge.
