i got a question.. i don't do tgp's.. but why trade traffic? if your sending some one 500 clicks and your recieving 500 clicks... what good is this? there is no point.. most likely you will send out 50,000 clicks and recieve 30,000 real clicks and 20,000 hit bot or shit traffic.. so what is the real point in trading?

One reason, if one of your 500 hits clicks around and goes to another site...he probably didn't see anything you were advertising that caught his eye.

Maybe your site is offering something that mine isn't, so if I trade him to you...you have a better chance of making a sale off the guy. Or at least he might be a return visitor.

It is all about recycling traffic. You send them your unwanted traffic (i.e. those that don't convert) for fresh ones that may or may not convert.

the time to send the surfer off to another site is after he has looked ay your site for a while. After a few clicks, he is going to leave your site anyway, better to get a new surfer back, via traffic trade, when he does.

Traffic trades via forced traffic just doesn't make sense to me. I will argue you are just tossing pissed off surfers into a site and using their bandwidth while it's happening. After all... they just got dumped in. But, traffic trades are important as they are way more effective than any search engine when it's done right. Every traffic trade I have is niche oriented and we are all sending directed traffic back and forth. It's the fresh blood that will click on your sponsors.... not those that have bookmarked for years. Those are your certified freeloaders.

if you are talking about skimming, i agree. i hate that shit but since most tgp surfers are just there for the pics i guess you gotta get surfers to other sites somehow. personally if im checking out some galleries and notice im being sent to another site and not another gallery, i just close the window and try another one.

Not even attempting to compete with the huge TGP's and no intentions of stuffing traffic in just to make some traffic trade partner send more. All honest traffic back and forth and I ignore any traffic from the types of sites you are mentioning. They are just wasting the bandwidth of this site. We all go about it in different ways. If you don't like the view you'll just have to live with it that what you think is best is not for everyone.
