Please help...I just don't understand this..

At a conversion ratio of 1:1500 with a ctr of 1% (submitting galleries)...this means I need to have 150,000 page views in order to make one sale.

150,000 page views = 60gb of bandwidth (1/3 of my monthly bandwidth)...so...roughly $25 in bandwidth per sale...

plus...

To get listed at the big sites...I have to pay for the privlege of giving them content to show thier surfers...

plus...

I must have a squeaky clean gallery with unbeleivably good content that I had to pay a fortune to get...

plus...

I can't do anything to entice their surfers to actually click on my sponsor links, in order to generate sales so I may make enough money to pay for the privlege of giving them free content for their surfers?

What is wrong with this picture?

i dont do other sites so i cant really comment but if i was you i would find something then with a better ratio, or revshare so ur hard earned signup atleast gives u $ over a period of time

I just don't get it though...there cannot be thousands of fools going into debt every month building and submitting galleries. They MUST be making money doing it, or the industry would simply collapse because there would be no gallery submitters.

the only TGP I made *good* money on was thehun and jjj.

And you better know what you are doing if thehun approves one of your galleries, B/W will eat your lunch. I know happened to me once. On his Thumbs Up though

I'm really starting to feel that the honest guy who is trying to make a decent living has no place in this industry.

I have never cheated...redirected...or any of that shit. I make nice galleries and follow the rules.

Yet...it seems like the rules are created to stop cheaters who seem to slip through the cracks anyhow.

The cheaters make sales by sending overwhelming traffic to sponsors...leaving no room for the honest guy to make a buck.

Well I have never thought that TGP's were a good way to make money......not for me anyway.....

I have always been a firm believer in the fact that a surfer will not pay for porn if they can find it for free..... I think that the surfers that actually pay for porn are those that are too lazy to look for it for free......

here's a tip, try doing some SEO on your galleries, once they get listed in some good TGPs, google will pick them up, and if you played your cards right, they'll get daily SE hits. might not be that much, but if you submit enough galleries daily, it'll all add up

I think I am already doing that...I get a lot of SE hits...but it doesn't seem like enough to matter.

SE's confuse the shit out of me anyhow. It seems like you need a Phd in cloaking to make SE's work for you.

I know...I just get really friggin frustrated when things don't work like I want them to. I've been struggling a long time and just can't seem to figure this game out. Every time I think I have the answers, I find out I am wrong.

This morning for example, I found out that to submit and get listed with enough galleries to make the money I want...I will spend twice as much in bandwidth as I would actually make in sales.
