Pretty much all of the Need For Speed series was damn good.

I wasted many hours playing Porsche Unleashed. I loved the mode where you run from the cops.

Lates verson is 1.2.3 BETA, well, what I know of that is. And there is a XP patch to it.

NFSU is the most whup ass racing game on ANY console and that includes the arcade machines, those code monkeys sure know how to make a game fly

I love the game with all GFX effects turned up full so when you get your level 3 cars and fly through China town with motion blur on it looks like a bad acid trip, Thing is though how many of you pussies have managed to finish it

I think I deleted the game a while back, thinking I was never going to be able to play it, so I will have to find it somewhere first... Would be fun to try and race against you

Amen! That was the part I hated the most too... I ended up with half the songs disabled. It was obviously aimed at Americans who seem to prefer that kind of music as opposed to us Europeans who generally prefer dance/techno.

Also I didn't see any point in the money - you couldn't even use half of them because all the stuff was blocked until later when you had earned even more money. Hopefully that is changed somehow in the new version.

I like the more realistic sims. Best I've played are
Racer -- 100% free, tons of downloadable cars, tracks but difficult to set up

Grand Prix Legends -- A little dated but really fucking good. New patches add higher res grapihcs.

Live For Speed -- This game is like $20. You are really missing out if you haven't played this one. Its absolutely killer with a steering wheel and peddles.
