Well, first of all, I consider them entertainers. It's up to them how involved they wish to get with their members/clients.
I actually have a great deal of respect for the women who love their work and are good at it; whichever form of adult entertainment their field is in. I do, however, worry about the girls on the far end of the spectrum - girls who are so into play-acting that that they lose their sensitivity to feeling real emotions, or girls who end up getting burnt out over the emotional strain of having to perform constantly for strangers.
