    Copa Libertadores

    Some of you that might not be familiar with this tournament is the equivalent to the The UEFA Champions League in Europe.

    Once Caldas of Colombia defeated Boca Juniors of Argentina 2-0 in penalty shootout in the Copa Libertadores final on Thursday, taking South America's premier cup trophy. Once Caldas of Colombia eliminated Santos of Brazil, Sao Paulo of Brazil and Finishing by defeated Last year's Copa Libertadores Champions Boca Juniors of Argentina breaking a four consecutive year record for the Argentines.

    This one goes to all of those who think only Brazilians and Argentines can play good soccer in the Americas...

      A complete upset and Cinderella story! Once Caldas wasn't even a first division team a few years ago. It goes to show that quality world class futbol doesn't require spending millions of dollars per player.

          Yep, although I don't think they have been in second division recently.. but o well lets see how they do in Tokyo in December..

                      In smaller Latin countries the national team and the main club team is the same thing.
