Now everyone thinks only about money.
World Cup and regional tournaments such as Euro 2004 or CopaAmerica meant something in the past..and now they lost a little importance. To win Euro 2004 should be far more important for the players than winning the Champions League, but for many i suppose it is the opposite.
And take a look at the Champions League - it is fucked up to. It used to be a real "Chapions League" where national tournament winners competed against each other. But nowadays 4 teams from Germany or Italy play in it each year.
And the biggest clubs even threat UEFA that they wil start independent tournaments
