    Damn auto focus bullshit ...

    i been bitching about my camera for some time that it takes way too fucking long to snap a picture. Since i like taking pictures of babies in my family, it sucks when you miss THE picture.

    just realized its all because of the autofocus option!

    When i hit the damn button, i want THAT damn picture! Not the one 3 seconds from now!!!

      On one of ours, I shut off the auto focus and have the settings preset to 2' to infinity. It taks a sharp enough picture. But I can also set it from 2' to 6' I think it is. There's still a lag between pics but the first is fairly quick.

                              Most cameras have an AF-LOCK function that allows you to lock the autofocus when you push the button and unlock it after. However, if you're using digital, what you see on the viewfinder isn't always what you get, as far as focus quality.

                                  you're retarded, you're supposed to push the shutter half way, it focuses and sets the exposure, then when you push it fully it takes the pic instantly. ALL AUTOMATIC CAMERAS WORK LIKE THIS. if you're trying to catch action you just have to know how to use your damn camera, do the focusing/exposure/etc first, then wait for what you want and snap it.
