    Kazaa and Usenet traffic? legal?

    I read in a few thread on different boards how people are actually making 'good' sales posting pics on usenet, in picture groups that is, with a URL fowarded to whatever sponsor

    Sounds lame, but does it work? and what do most sponsors say about it?

      I post pics and video on kazza, well not post but put stuff in my shared folder... been working pretty good for me... getting my name out there anyway.

          but you're pushing a program you own? I'm talking if affiliates do it, is it considered spaming?

                      Pictures on usenet with your URL? Yeah that made me a fortune in 1993. Now people are putting vids on Kazaa that automatically open a web browser with their URL after the vid is done playing, now that's gotta make some coin.

                                      That's what i'm thinking, since people the poeple who downloaded them on kazaa, chances are they won't pay for a membership

                                          I figure with some nice keywords you could drum up some huge traffic to offshoreclicks or something. Try naming a file paris hilton sex video.mpg and putting it on all the major P2P networks, I'll bet it would do big numbers. Not sure, just a guess.

                                              All current and recent downloads of Windows Media Player come with the "Launch a URL" feature OFF by default. Someone has to know what it is to turn it on. As people update you'll lose the ones who have it activated.
