Matrix Content Bankrupt????

I believe that they may be. I can think of no other reason for them to have a hard time paying their debts.

They owe my designer $4000 for referrals and have not paid him. He has referred them more than $32,000USD in new content sales.

They have owed him this money for more than 4 months now and he is continuing to earn money from new referrals, but has only gotten a single check for 500 bucks and now they've started ignoring me.

So like a good friend I called Norm (who imho is as big a dick as they come) and asked him to pay his debts. He decided it would be easier to hang up on me and transfer me to somebody's voicemail.

If he hasnt paid his debt by monday via fedex I'm going to purchase the debt and begin collections.

Unfortunately I am a bit concerned because i think they may be bankrupt, after all, why else would they refuse to pay for their bread and butter?

hmm.. i would think they would know better than to screw over designers, after all, designers often make the content buying decisions.

it's a shame. matrix used to be a good company imho.. now they seem to be going down the shitter.

I wanted to buy 1200 pics, each one of a different person so that i could use them in my plugin under the star biography/information page and they actually wanted a % of my business.

Doesnt shock me to see them go under if that is how they do deals. Im sure the whole webmaster email list got the ball rolling though.. probably killed their sales and now they're jumping ship

Their 5 domain limit per license just plain sucks balls. It's bad enough they want $50-60 per set of content that has most likely been used more than a $2 street whore, but then top it off with a 5 domain limit... I understand Glamour content is very expensive to shoot, especially with the big name girls, but come on...

That's one of the few things that made me find business elsewhere.

As you all know, or should, I've been collecting names of people who got a letter or package from Acacia. The one name that came up often was Matrix. Too many were pointing a finger for them all to be wrong. Many came from my mailing list and are never on the boards so it's not peopel spouting the board view.

Norman can come on here and spout as much as he likes, but if the list did not come from Matrix it's no good that is what these people believe. So they played Russian Roulette and maybe Acacia have one less licensee, can't say I'm upset.
