    Signups in Euros ?

Do you think we would convert worse if we charged memberships in Euros ?

The American $ is so bad that here in Australia our profit has dropped quite a bit.

Also about 50% of our memberships come from europe, so .... has anyone tried it .. or got experience with charging euros instead of $A ?

We are a company on the European mainland. So, on all the European sites, we charge in euros.
It could be profitable on your behalf because the average European thinks the dollar equals the euro anyway.
Except UK: they will not and never will pay in euros, so we charge them in pounds

      Greetz,
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

          Greetz,
Yeah thats the problem ... europe is such a hotch-potch of dislikes etc that we would run the risk of losing sales I think.

But ... do you think that Americans would signup for a paysite in euros ?

I think that's a question you should ask to Americans. You can organise a contest, where they have to fill in a survey in order to make a shot on a DVD player or something else. We did that and we got a lot of valuable information concerning tresholdfear, likes of the consumer and how he wants to pay.
We have a new site for US public and we charge dollars because we don't know this market very well and that's probably the safest thing to do.

Hey Pieter, who do you use to bill in UK£ and Euros? Do you have your own merchant account or use a billing partner?

Why not cloak the sign up page, so Europeans get billed in euros and everyone else in $?

Is there a billing company, who charges everyone in his currency? That would be nice(you set price in $ for example, but it'll show the price in CZK for me, in pounds to UK guy & in jens for japan guy)

The euro hasn't done too well over the past 24 hours. I suspect it'd be a pretty good time to buy though

verotel has a signup page for each country, and the prices in the local currency.

Mind if the text on the spanish one is anything to go by the translations aren't particularly good. One assumes the dutch and german ones are up to par

I've also had jap signups, so that one must be coherent too...

I'm sure you know that f.e ARS introduced the Adult Dialer Solution and they encourage webmasters to "filter foreign traffic" - that means only US / Can surfers are offered the chance of a cc sign up. The rest - even Europe - goes to the dialer.
