Man, I tried to play last wednesday but I downloaded the new nvidia drivers and kept crashing to the desktop. I had to keep trying older drivers until I found one that works. I had to go back to the August release of the drivers before it got back to normal. Just a tip: DON'T update drivers unless you have a real reason to do so!

They suck when you can't fly them, but once you get the hang of them they rule. Nothing like bombing a tank, being chased by another plane, shaking him, and than blasting him out of the sky. In short, the game rules.

Battlefield is ok, not great but pretty good.

Also have a look at "call of duty". It´s similar to Battlefield.
"Medal of Honor" is also good.

I didn't like it at all..

Well I like Single player, but the multiplayer just wasn't my style, movement was too slow to make duels any fun.. Go with planetside if you are into a FPS..

I agree Odin ... it's plain stupid how difficult it is to control the plane. For the first several days I kept crushing on a regular basis. The game's fun though - especially multiplayer. What about Midway ... do you like the map?

top game, but i think you need cable or dsl or something to play it aswell aswell 256mg video card and @least a p4 2.4 so it will be smooth, and yeh i agree the planes are fucking hard to fly @ 1st, im still learinng slowly

I love the midway map, and most European war maps. I love CTF missions mostly, especially the ones that go for a while. I have played CTF matches that last for 2-3 hours on maps like Stalingrad, and I have to say it is awesome fun.

If you're having problems flying, GET A JOYSTICK! The mouse mapping for flight is horrid. Once you practice the planes, go
for the helos. I love flying the Apache and the Hind. You can have a lot of fun sticking to the ground, too. The weakest part of the game is the infantry-infantry combat, IMHO.

Yup, Desert Combat rules.

The guided missiles they introduced after secret weapons of WW2 are awesome too.

Fighter planes are my favourite vehicles now, and the apache is 2nd.

Its been out for ages and it still rules.

I don't have time to play games, so I don't buy any.

I am looking forward to the next generation of games where you are in the game, kinda. You wear sensors and when you move your character moves, and the game is played. That'll take a few years to perfect but I read that the first generation of that is in the stores this Christmas.
