My son just joined the Air Force and I didn't try to stop him. He will deployed to SOME sandbox country, but we don't know when or where. One of his best friends is finishing up OTS for the Army and another is getting ready to enter OTS for the Mariines. Unless something really drastic happens, they will both end up there.
Thankfully there are still men and women who feel it's an honor to serve their country in the military.
