What bank do you bank with that hasn't screwed you like some banks have to porn folk?

So we all have or at least know someone who's had their business checking account fucked over by a bank once the bank found out that their business is a porn business. I personally have dealt with the "Here's a cashier's check of your entire account balance. We don't want your company's business anymore."

I'm really curious about this.. do some banks have a bias against a legitimate adult business?

bank of america has never fucked with me. most of my checks also come from bank of america accounts.

i dont believe thsi hype about BofA dislikeing porn companies. money doesnt smell.

There is probably something in their terms when you open an account that says something about them being able to terminate your account at any time, and that by signing that little dotted line, you agreed to this.

I think there's more to these stories than just "I'm in the porn business, so they stopped doing business with me". I don't think they care where the money comes from. As long as it's legal. Even then, they might not care.

Bank One dropped me.

And yeah, they flat out told me that they did not want to be associated with the porn industry. Which is kind of stupid really because Bank One is so huge that there's no doubt that lots and lots of porn companies use them.

The account was always in good standing.

They didn't close my personal account, just the business one. Which is extremely odd.

This was three years ago, though. And it could've been just the manager of the particular branch I bank with. I'm sure I could've just opened another account at another Bank One branch without any trouble - or even online.

its just weired I went to make a deposit on a thursday one day,
then I received a check from a different sponser a few day later only to find out my account
was closed. The girl behind the window told me I need to call customer service on the
matter. I then walked back home called them up and they told me that my account was closed "with no reason why"
I did receive a cashiers check fed exed to me overnight for the full amount of what my balance
was. Just so everyone here knows I was with the sun valley branch located on sunland blvd.
I did have a Checking & Savings account with them for 12 years.
I say fuck that branch and dont do business with them.
What gets me I still receive a bank statement from them every month.

perhaps it is a regional thing. b of a's consider each state independent of each other.

I've heard of banks pulling all sorts of things on people but the minute the Bank Controllers and Examiners walk in, its amazing how nice a bank can get.
