Affiliate programs are not going anywhere. I'm sure people feared for the worst 3 years ago and affiliate programs are still here, still going strong.

Here's my quick thought -- signups aren't going away. If there were no affiliate programs paying affiliates then the people with traffic will choose between either starting their own sites to send the traffic to, or finding other ways to sell their traffic.

The system as it stands now is definitely flawed in many ways. We shall see how it shakes out.

I have not been in the business that long but from the talk I have heard traffic is worth less each year. So yes it may always be worth something. That something might not be piles of cash.
