    Best FPS multiplayer game? Need something new

    Ok, so I have tried a few lately and they were ALL major major MAJOR dissapointments.. The only ones that are even worth mentioning are neocron and planetside(remember we are talking about recent games). Obviously quake, UT and the like are at the top of the list, but anyone try anything good that is new?
    I've tried BF1942 and that fucking blew chunks, same for halo in multiplayer(single player was awesome).. Savage - Battle for newerth was a waste of time.. The list goes on..

    What do you guys recommend?

              Why did you think Savage was a waste of time? I'm addicted as hell. It's one of the few games that actually interest me.

                          The best fun I had on a multiplayer FPS was with Operation Flashpoint.

                          Though its not for everyone, its more of a military combat simulation than a "game", ei. it has realistic projectile physics, and 1 shot kills so it might be a little too much for quaker kiddies.

                          But this game is serious fun.

                                                      i just beat call of duty single player, excellent game. The multiplayer looks good but its basically the same as BF1942 except less driving tanks/planes (in the single player anyway)

                                                              Ah I just found the gameplay seriously lacking in that game.. My thoughts on that are instead of making a really cool hybrid, they have kind of hap-hazardly patched a really bad RTS onto a really bad FPS game..
                                                              The concept is cool, no arguement there, but quake1 was a 100 times better FPS and star craft is a 100 times better RTS.. bother games are 5-10 years older than this one.. I think they should have just spent a bit more time and made the FPS aspect of it a little better..

                                                              The biggest problem I have with games like halo in MP is that the movement is just sooooooo painfully slow.. I mean there is no real skill involved as you can't out maneauver the other player.. That is why I love quake so much.

                                                                          I enjoy the COD Multiplayer. However the sniping is a bit too powerful, but that's something they are supposed to address in upcoming patches.

                                                                                                          I get about 70FPS on Diablo 2 LOD 1.10 Patch.

                                                                                                                      BF1942 Desert Combat is a lot of fun. I played the shit out of Q3 mod Urban Terror. BF is fun, but the infantry-infantry combat sucks a lot of ass.

                                                                                                                      There's a new game I saw a preview of, I think it was called Silent Strike, but the entire world enviornment is deformable. So if you shoot a rocket launcher into the corner of a building, you'll bring down that corner all the way to the roof line. You can shoot through a wooden door and kill someone on the other side. That seems like it'll be cool.
