anyone want to ride Heavenly saturday?

sierra is better, kirkwood is even better still. I heard its been raining and shit up there at heavenly half the time instead of snowing.

How much snow do you guys have up there? I am looking forward to hitting Squaw and Sugar Bowl this season.

It's opening day and it hasn't snowed in 2 weeks so it's all crappy if you consider 1 foot fresh snow as the minimum for "Not crappy".

I could go into details and explain the fallacy in your statement and argue with you...but i'll just agree that sometimes Heavenly doesn't get as much snow as the others. On the other hand, sometimes it's the only mountain that benefits from the "Lake Effect". It's also much closer than the others and offers greater variety, albeit less challenge. Also more tourists come to Heavenly and locals go to Sierra and Kirkwood, allowing many hidden spots to be enjoyed only by the few Heavenly locals. Each mountain has it's ups and downs but I would much rather do 100 days at Heavenly than 100 days at Sierra especially since my 100 days usually consist of a few hours on the way to work. And yes when it's powder, I'll be looking for Kirkwood riders but not this Saturday......anyways, anyone want to ride? I won't discriminate against skiiers! lol

Not much, just a few feet, it's been 50 the last couple of days so I'm expecting a spring like day with a 1 to 2 foot base. Won't be good for the trees but the groomers at 8:30 should be nice and fast and I'm hoping they'll have some rails also.

Heavenly is in South Lake Tahoe, half in CA, half in NV and overlooking the lake.
