Anyone who believes Bush will resurrect the Draft for Iraq is a fucking idiot. There is no way the American public will stand for it. I know our voice dosnt matter anymore, but the draft killed a lot of people back in WWII. Americans are already upset with the death toll and what...its only at 400? He will make a "Call to Arms"

He can already tap your phone and detain you for as long as he wants, without telling anyone where you are and without allowing you legal counsel. Why would you think that he would not reinstate the draft? Why would it even surprise you?

That's all a lovely idea, but the fact is is that war and conflict have solved more problems in history than ANY other means. In fact, in the 5000+ years of recorded human history, the total amount of time when there wasn't a war (or two or three) going on somewhere on the planet comes to a total of less than 11 years. (Thats all together, adding up a month here and a week there)

and don't be so sure that it's all about world leaders either...just because WE don't think that war is a good idea....there are, and have always been, many many people who want to kill the other guy to get his land, or because they don't like the way he lives, or whatever.

You do realize that your country and pretty much every other country on earth is a result of somebody winning a war over somebody else? If you wait for a war to be on your doorstep before you start fighting it.....you will have already lost.

Anyway, don't worry, there will not be a draft. The military doesn't want it, and it would take an act of congress that no politition would ever vote for.....so relax already. (although I do actually think that military service would be a really good thing for some of the slack-ass kids that are being brought up these days)
