    "Live Support" .... offline

    What the fuck? I am so fucking tired of every other site with buttons saying "Live Help" and "Live Support" that are NEVER, NEVER NEVER online. The button usually says "click here for live support" and then at the bottom says "status: offline"

    Whats the fucking point? To prove to surfers that you are incompetent, dont care and cant live up to the promises you make?

    In my opinion, there is no better way to scream "I am a dumbfuck and should not be trusted with your business" than to put buttons like this on your site:



    I avoid people like this like a plague because they are telling me "i care just enough to make a minimal effort to make it seem like i care"

      I think they just put the graphic up to look cool or something because it never works.
      I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

                              Those are largely useless for adult since everyone uses ICQ anyway, but they could be helpful for the regular surfer. But then again the majority of those systems are very gay, expensive, and largely useless anyway so its no wonder that if someone spent money on it they eventually stopped caring about it anyway and were just to lazy to have their design updated.
