Would you go to a party at Internext you had to pay for?

I'm considering a few, but wondering...

I think I would pay in the right circumstances, yes.

Not quite sure all the "freebies" at Internext are all that necessary...

But I do like coming home with all the convention clutter.

For the party throwers, the open bar costs typically run over 100K. Vegas is an expensive town.

Many guys are passing on throwing parties because of this. I would rather have more parties where I buy my own drinks than fewer with huge wait times to get a free drink.

As some of the big guys are tightening their belts, I wouldnt be suprised if some of the events will be by admission. If it was worth attending free I am sure it will be even if you had to pay , or a sponsor picks up the price of the ticket and gives it out to their affiliates.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

I am already paying

and without partners all those big sites wouldn't make any money to throw parties, so ,, I am not paying for anything except the above

You mean the big sites who typically give 50 or 60% to their webmasters? Those big sites? I think the affiliates should throw the parties to thank the afiliates programs for being so nice to them.

Hell yeah I'd pay, if the party was thrown by cool people, if they had a good agenda for the evening, why not?

I'll be one of these parties that will be charging, however the ticket is free. Everyone attending buys a sponsorship for $100 and you get a text link in our Players Ball weekly newsletter and website (thousands of targeted webmasters), an Epassporte account with free email, and a guaranteed spot in our party, no hassles.

In return, not only will you get more then $100 worth of internet marketing/exposure, you also get to see 2 or 3 concerts in one night featuring a top 5 artist in music today, full concert. Pimp and ho style. Our new venue holds only 1500 people total, only 1000 passes are available in a sponsorship for only $100 each.

It's the only way to continue throwing parties like ours with big talent budgets. Unless we can get big sponsors to pay for the whole thing, which I would have loved, but since that's not the case, the show must go on.

If anyone wants a sponsorship which includes a VIP booth and table for 8, extra regular passes, and your URL on the back of the pass, and your name on the screens during the party, banner in newsletter and website, that can happen for under $5k, only 13 of those available.

This way we charge less money to our sponsors will providing maximum exposure. Our market dictates this kind of structure to survive. Anyone interested in securing one of those 13 sponsorships, hit me up at darren at marketingfirm dot com.

LOL in the right circumstances I would pay (like in the plan that D$ has), but generally no I would not pay to go to a party. I am not in high school or college I am not helping to buy the keg. If you have to ask people to help pay for a party then just throw a smaller party with less people and have everyone bring a casserol....LOL

I'd go. Paying for drinks is no biggie. And getting rid of all the free loaders who probably aren't even in the business is cool with me. Most of the damn time, you can't even get a drink anyway.

Or VIP areas are a good idea BUT for affiliates who actually make sales and make you the program owner money and your friends, not someone who posts all day.

I would rather attend some of the smaller sponsered parties and avoid all the rif raf...A few of us attended the Players' Ball last year and even though I had VIP tickets and didn't have to wait in line, once inside I couldn't even get close to the bar to get a drink.

Parties are such a waste of $, it is an ego thing to spend $100k. The days of egos are over, now it is about $ in the bank.

Funny, so little talk of parties for upcoming show. Is there going to be a players ball this year? They usually hype it for months, I was hoping for 50 cent and JayZ!

yeah parties were a big money waster...especially if someone is paying tons of cash to make sure everyone has a goodtime...and then they get flamed for it..immediately

i enjoy the smaller parties anyway...more one on one time.

i would not mind paying something...as long as im informed..i couldn't see why anyone else would mind either.

although from a webmaster point of view...i can see how they would want bonuses so it is a hard call
especially if they are just starting out.

i really enjoyed the llizard ounge thrown by Adultpaymaster in miami..relaxing..classy.
