    What south korea should have done

    When the video came out demanding that South Korea not send their 3000 troops or he would be beheaded.

    The leaders of S. Korea, should have instantly came out with a statement saying that they do not negotiate with terrorists.

    And that if that hostage was harmed in any way they would be sending 9000 troops in direct response to any action taken by the terrorists.


    I think every country should start taking approaches like this if more hostages are taken.

      yeah just like when the US said it doesn't negotiate with terrorists.. except north korea... and then that moqtada al-sadr guys that killed all those US troops a few months ago.. face it a country isn't going to almost triple their spend on military adventurism that they don't even need to be doing in the first place just because one guy got his head cut off. no matter how happy it might make you feel at night.
      Not only do terrorists know this they also don't give a fuck.. whats another 6000 troops... basically it's 6000 more targets for them.
      simplistic solutions to complex problems sound good but accomplish nothing.

              I'm kind of with you on this one. I think that if they behead one of ours we should kill 1000 of theirs. We can go tit for tat and see who runs out of people first.

                              Im in agreement on this one.

                              Its the only language they understand and they will think twice next time they pull this tactic. Put a $100,000 reward on each one of their heads and Im sure their family's will turn them in.
