I know 2 or 3 pretty good hackers, you wouldn't know they were, talking 2 them face to face, well one you might. He was a space cadet also. He lives over in the Mountains with the hippies, by Felton, California. I started to kick him out of my car once, when we went to L.A. god that guy was out there.

There's no clear explination. There's also no such thing as blackhats and white hats cause no matter what you do, to someone else it's wrong. I started out as a "hacker" because I learned some batch programming on my old 386 and a friends mom asked me if i could write something to destroy her boss's computer. So I did and she was happy. I kept learning from there and since then I've done a few odd things like I got hired to cement a divorce once. Also the republican party has tried to hire me to sabotage some left organizations but I declined. I really stay away from that sort of thing because having that kind of power has shown me what a filthy world it really is out there. Noone in power got there honestly and that's just a fact. It's impossible to do it without cheating, lying, scamming or sabotaging.

But of course, I was only 17 at the time SUCKERS. I caused enough damage before 18 to get a life sentence. A guy who was a yahoo tech was always telling me they were looking for the guy who made so and so spammer etc.
Still I never really felt like labeling myself a hacker. I just do what I like, do it for profit and for fun. People talk about hacker ethics and hacker codes but fuck all that.icq 279990726

Its so pathetic to see a box hacked and then some kiddie language and shout outs and then something like: admin please mail me so i can help you secure your box.
Its like going to the grocery store, slip something under your jacket and then call them and tell them you stole something and can help them.
The only people we have to protect ourselfs from are hackers/crackers so its just a stupid circle.

hackers DO have ethics, and there IS such a thing as blackhat and whitehat, etc.
as well, anyone with serious skills wont be unemployed for long. Companies pay TOP dollar for these guys to come work for them and secure their system.
its easy for them since they know all the tricks and they have all the connections to learn about new exploits and stuff.
I knew a guy named KennyKaps who was just a wicked hacker. He was disabled so he had no choice but to sit home and play on pc, he did some wild shit but nothing seriously bad. He got into AOL systems and added like 4yrs free to his acct or some shit just to prove that he can do it. He also wrote 3 books on hacking that were never published, but i have coppies.
As well it is true that anyone who is a hacker, would never call themselves a hacker. Its a mindframe more than anything else.
They dont beleive in large companies basically raping people for their services, like microsoft, aol, etc.
And they ALWAYS know how to code with serious skill. mainframe languages are a must.

First, the whole black/white hat thing is ridiculous. If you're interested in security, there is often only one way to find stuff out... even if you're just doing it for the sake of curiosity, it's still illegally entering systems. In almost all cases, it's just different shades of grey.
Ofcourse, people who get hacked see it all as black. The first time I hacked into something it was just to see if I could. After having spent 5 days in a dark room coding almost non-stop (how I spent many a summer vacation), I mailed the site admin, telling him his security was flawed and what to do against it... and he threatened to sue me
Also, many hackers do refer to themselves as hackers. You're typically talking about overweight no-social-life pimple-faced unshaven pizza-eating jolt-drinking guys in their twenties here. The idea that there are "good" vs "evil" hackers is ridiculous. Most people I know who hack do it out of pure obsession with knowledge. Sure, there are some criminal hackers, and some who do it for the good of humanity, but the vast majority do it to satisfy their own drive.
And yes, I've hacked into a number of things, I admit that. Not to do any damage or to make money, but just because I was curious about the workings of a particular system, or simply because something was there.
