Saudi Gov. knew were he was the whole time... They condone this behavior to protect the "Kingdom". The gov. might have believed they would have released Johnson, and was shocked when it went bad. Amazing not being able to control their own extremists.

They divert peoples hatred for being oppressed towards western cultures.... They are to busy hating America to hate being ruled.
