just spoke to a superisor over at paypal.Your account can and will get terminated for recieving funds from sponsors and they ARE reading messageboards to find out accounts.This is a MAJOR fuckup for them to admit their policy is flawed and are willing to shut down customers who have been doing buisness for years

I think it's ridiculous of PayPal to close accounts without even investigating them. I mean, say some mainstream designer gets a mainstream job from someone who also owns adult websites and the payment happens to come from [email protected]... it would be wrong to shut down the designer's account just because they got a payment for a job that wasn't even adult in nature.
I guess can see why they might not want to process for content providers or porn paysites, but it's just ridiculous to not even allow PayPal to be taken for sponsor payments, design work, traffic sales, etc. And it seems terribly two-faced of them to allow sales of adult items on eBay to accept PayPal, but not anywhere else.

Having said that, I can't imagine ever getting a paypal account simply for convenience sake. I'd rather wait on a personal check in the mail and wait for my bank to clear the funds.
