I usually give myself one night a week where I go out and let go, but that's getting old now too, however that did work for awhile. Going out to the bar shooting pool drinking.

I would like to know how to fight a burnout as well, I code all day long too. I don't get much time off, even when I'm not at work. Hell I lost vacation time 2 years in a row because we were simply to busy for me to get the time off, sick days forget about it that just means your working from at home, lol. I do get to take about one lunch a week though.

I've taken some time off before, seems to energize me for a bit when I come back, but then it's back to the same thing. I feel your pain but as long as your a programmer in this industry, the only words of advice i have is get used to it. I've been programming for 8 years now, 4 of which were non adult. The no adult programming was pretty stress free and i never really got burnt out, except for the marketing company i worked for.

I've throw my arms up many times, "fuck it I'll work construction, any thing but sit on my ass all day behind a computer and code," but that never goes anywhere.

I know being a programmer it's pretty hard watching everyone else work and get time off around the office, that gets to you after awhile as well.
