Put a disclaimer, ONLY let people over 18 post. Of course people under 18 will post and say they're 18 but that's not your problem.

What if they post pics of themselves naked? Or better yet, what if they send pics in which I have to add them (as opposed to them just auto submitting them).

Unless they're minors. In high school I had a website and there was a huge gallery of pictures we'd take at school. The parents didn't like it so it was lawsuit time.

I notice on Facethejury.com they post must be 18+ to post pics but people clearly have that they are under 18 in their profiles. Can't they get screwed?

Or is it ok because they don't have any porn links?

If people are just going to submit their pics (even topless) should I get them to send proof of ID as well? Would that be enough to cover me? Or am I asking for something bad...

I would highly suggest seeing a lawyer... Dispite what most people might think, they ARE at least partially responsible for the content they have on their site, no matter who's submitting it and all disclaimers aside..

If you go on Yahoo profiles, all kinds of teenagers are posting pictures of themselves (with clothes on of course) and chatting in the Yahoo chat rooms. Seems to me if they have clothes on it is a slam-dunk ok... but then again, I know as much about law as I do about fucking spider monkeys in the ass so don't quote me on that.

#2 If you allow users to post naked pictures of themselves, unless you want to go to jail as a child pornographer, i would follow 2257 to the letter.

As the provider you do have the responsibility to make sure your user is of age. As anyone can see with this administration, i don't think they will have any problems running sting operations to see which web providers are allowing minors to post naked pictured of themselves with no age verification.

Like i said though, go see a lawyer. Just my $0.20
