    TGP Traffic Question

Alright kids so I have never really messed with TGP'ing before but I have a need to possibly do a little here in the near future for a project.

Can someone tell me what I should expect to burn in bandwith for listings on some of the major sites out there per day roughly?

    Thanks!

count the size of your site, multiply it by the number of visitors you expect and drink a beer

Thanks that tells me exactly nothing. I don't know how many visitors to expect because I've never really done TGP as of yet. So I was trying to get a general idea of what to expect on the major sites.

it depends on alot of things: description, layout of site, wich site your listed, if your doing picture or movie galleries.

where you think you'Re gonna be listed?

you can get 1k or 1 million submitting galleries

With some good galleries, content and design, and if you can get partner status on the major TGPs, you could expect 200,000+ unique per day.

As for the bandwidth, it all depends on the size of your gallery and content.

                100 SE hits = 2,000-3,000 TGP hits.
somtimes even more based on shit I've done comparing them using the same sites/galleries. Maybe theres some trick I don't know about converting TGP traffic. If you own a paysite TGP galleries could get the word out about your site. But damn... the traffic sucks so bad and eats bandwidth so I definatly recomend not puting galleries on high priced bandwidth.

                Amen

Because I'm getting a different server for this and I need to know about how much bandwith I might burn doing it. I don't want to end up paying fucking $2 overages per gig.

we try to keep our bw usage to about 1-1.5GB per 10k people...

generaly speaking 100-150GB per gallery will be enough for your first month...
once you get into it expect to burn 200-300GB/month per gallery
