Actually cockroaches thrive in metropolitan areas like LA, not Riverside. But since you asked, do you telecommute or plan on driving to work? I live in Chino and it is nice to be in the middle of the beach and mountains since you can do both into the winter. Another good spot is Lake Arrowhead. Homes are decently cheap compaired to sea level too.
