also the images are untouched and very big and heavy, is there a fast way to optimize them so each large image isn't 200kb?

Use the Arles program by Digitial Dutch. This allows you to control many differing aspects of the both the image and the HTML.

Create a template and have Arles use this html template.

Either that, or use a php script.
