    Sending faxes over the Internet...

What services allow me to send a fax over the Internet? I only send a couple faxes monthly, so it must be fairly cheap.

Why leave the house when you don't need to?

Sly have you checked into Fax Software?

It may be a pain but i can recall using it on my mac YEARS ago to fax before I had a fax machine.

If they had fax software 4+ years ago, im sure they have it now.

You used to be able to get printer drivers that would send faxes for you when you printed documents.

You're right. Epoch isn't worthy of doing business with since they have the nerve to require that I fax in my contract. Those bastards.

Fletch, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Years ago I used some service, don't know if those are good anymore or not.

Word used to do it, or was it Works?

Norton has WinFax Pro too. We used to use that when I got tired of printing and then using the old fax machine. ;-)

                    http://www.symantec.com/winfax/

It used to come in some of their package deals too. It's worth checking for those.

Back in '98 when I worked at Internet Solutions Inc. the president of the company had written a program called "Fax from the web", damn it was cool. I could set up a fax & cover logo right at my work station and send it with one click to any fax machine. Did I say it was cool? Damn it was cool.

I've never seen any sort of similar program available since.

Yeah, I've been using JFax (J2) for a while now. No problems at all. Kinda cool that you can pick a fax # in your area code now too... Oh, and I think JFax and EFax are actually owned by the same people now, FWIW...
