Headless,
Im saying BECAUSE you work for maxcash your opinions are given more creditibility. BECAUSE maxcash has a ton of respect in the community. Your not the run of the mill sig whore here..
Sure this is gfy..which is still the most popular board on the internet.
Your comments are still in bad taste to a lot of people that lost a lot of money at Adult Check.
It is not apples and oranges.. a ton of people were hawking their programs, telling others to stay away from max etc.. during the maxcash troubled times. Loyal people stayed. I dont know any adult company, selling recurring memberships, that can guarantee they will be around in 1 year.. NONE.
Ill leave it and you alone. I hope you see my point.
Chris
My comments cannot add anymore bad taste to an already sore mouth. I am simply stating the facts. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes during the very short time that MC had certain issues there were plenty of vulchers trying to get a piece of the pie. This is given. But I am not one of them. I did not say hey, ac webmasters come to my program... MC was strong before and is even stronger now.
All I said is avs is in trouble. You cannot deny that fact. Visa does not like the current way avs systems are settup and this is clear as day to anyone who is looking for it...
I hope you see my points.Comment

no ... actually i HAD heard that. just yesterday. right after i made my first TGP gallery ...Originally posted by icedemon
Apperantly you haven't heard or have been hiding under a rock. The credit card companies aren't going to process for AVS companies anymore. They are slowly shuting down each AVS one by one. The AVS companies are either going to have to change their business model and become a paysite with affiliates like Adult Check just has or else not take Visa and Mastercard anymore. I think the other option to them is for them to become a 3rd party biller and charge everbody using their system the $750 fee.
This has been known for a couple of months now. It seems like everybody that is making money from AVS is running it to the end or just plain living in a fantasy world and don't want to execpt that AVS will be gone by the beginning of next year.
and it appears the CC companies aren't agreeable to processing under the "AVS" term. so now some of the "formerly know as Adult Verification Systems" are having to change their rules around and call them "content pages" and all kinds of other crap. will it be dead after the beginning of the year ? who knows. from the way a lot of other people are talking --AVS isn't the only thing that should be looking for cemetary plots after the first of the year ...Need a Dedicated Box with BALLS ?
How about a Dedicated Server starting at just $49 per month.

What the hell are you talking about? Try getting a clue before posting. AC termed a shit load of accounts. There is no 'changing of site scripts' for most people. The accounts are closed.Originally posted by jamzyamz
AVS isn't dead. Only the name changed. Everyone that works under adultcheck will still be able to. The only thing that will change or need to be updated is the site script.
Hardly a big deal.Comment

it is totally fine with me if all of you don't do any AVS sites. Less competition for me. AC was not the only avs..CA for one might disagree.Comment

Sarah,
If you are doing an AVS, I would go pay per signup in whatever way you can.
Im not saying that because Cyberage is an AVS, but to put your recurrings into anyone else's hands at this point is a very large risk.
If your master account, loses its ability to rebill, your rebills go to. So unless you know their books....
I wouldnt do recurring with anyone..

well cyberage have been good to me and I don't have any problems with them at the moment. However, that said there is no reason not to spread yourself around so that you aren't fully reliant on rebills.Comment

true, thats why they're evolving into a new entity.Originally posted by Headless

Maybe, then affiliates need to sell their traffic instead.Originally posted by makefuckingmoney
If Visa does kill avs for the reason of not having the webmasters registered individually..
dont you think they will come after affilates next?
Like pay per click or soComment

Facts:
1. The current AVS model as we have known it has been dead for some time now ever since VISA and MC decided they wanted to peddle their credit cards to minors.
2. Adult Check is being pro-active by modifying their business model and staying in the good graces of VISA and MC for the long term.
3. These other AVS's that are pulling manuveurs like opening their affiliate's members areas in frames are a ticking timebomb waiting to get slapped by the big two.
4. Nothing, and I mean nothing, retains like an AVS member. And believe you me - I've owned, tried it all. It's hard to beat a program that updates will new content every single hour of the day across multiple categories.Comment
-
I've used the exact same content in small paysite rings & on AVS & without a doubt, AVS retains like mad. I have members for over a year on sites I've never updated.
I didn't use AC but the AVS concept works best when you weed out all the crap & just allow quality sites with original content.
How many webmasters that were weeded out were slapping up sites with sponsor content or rock bottom stuff that's been seen a thousand times before? AC members will probably stay even longer now...

Who said AVS is dead?
Did paysites die when Xpics went out?
Did recurring sites die when Busty Amateurs went out?
I still see a ton of AVS's out there..
now if you are retarded enough to do ANY RECURRING type program... you deserve what you get..Comment

Wow you talk some crap. AC has management without a clue that has run a good and profitable company into the ground and now scewed 1000's of people. That is the 'Facts'.

AC changed their business model: their right. But...
At close to zero notice, they also retained the recurring income of all the webmasters whom they did not require to be part of this new model. That need not concern anyone who was not directly involved, unless they plan to do business with AC in future.
But there is an extremely dangerous precedent involved that should concern everyone, whether directly involved or not. Namely that 100+ webmasters collaborated with what has happened and helped to make it possible. Without them, AC might have cut and run as other sponsors have, but AC certainly couldn't have carried on with 'business as usual'.
If those webmasters are able to do that with impunity, this could be the start of a trend which absolutely no-one should want to see, whether they were involved with AC or not.Comment
