No more HTML e-mails for OUTLOOK

    Just caught this.....

Remember the days before HTML e-mail? They're back. The latest release of Microsoft Outlook turns off graphics as the default setting. The user determines whether to view images in any HTML message not from a personally-approved sender.

true, true, I guess it's time to get some real opt-in lists and some domains/products you can send direct to on an easy to remember url....

            :/

            hmmm

it does suck though, I love html email, text is so boring....

that'd be like going back to text-only browsers....wtf

I agree reading from a shell makes html emails very hard to read!!

Use double opt-in if you are afraid of a law suit then.

Every quality email newsletter out there is still text based. People use HTML and image sets to either spam, track, or deliver ads... not deliver "news".

they are ads, its not spam though, all legit, i'm just sayin that for the common user they're not going to know how to allow html emails if its default is set to block all html emails

Who says about double opt-ins here? 98% of spam I keep getting (and this is 20-40 sucking e-mails per day) contain fucking forged return address and origins from some CN servers (or promote sites located on them). Fuck them all. I do not read them anyway, just forward to spamcop, but what I'm really afraid of are hoaxes and exploits that can be delivered with HTML e-mails. I can deal with them, but ordinary user cannot. Bravo, MS
