"More Than Words" was by the band Extreme - and they had many popular tunes. More Than Words was just overplayed. It was on the album "PornoGraffitti" which also spwawned the equally huge hit, "Hole Hearted." Other tunes off that disk that received acclaim, and much airplay at the time, were "Decadence Dance," "Get the Funk Out," the title track & "He Man Woman Hater."

Other songs that were quite popular by Extreme, include "Kid Ego" and "Mutha, Don't wanna go to School Today" off their first album. Also on that album was thier song, "Play With Me" which was a hit off the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure soundtrack. It's the radical guitar jam that you hear during the scene with all the dead notables running amuck in the San Dimas Mall.

It was eagerly anticipated after the "EXTREME" success of "PornoGraffitti," was self-produced and was a massive flop. Gary Cherone (their singer) went on to do a brief stint as the lead singer of Van Halen. Nuno (guitar/vox/songwriter) released a solo album or two that can best be described as eclectic.

King Missile. Like just about all of the other bands mentioned here as 'one hit wonders' they had quite a few hits, and wrote a ton more songs for other bands that turned into hits. The lead guy on King Missile is one of the most sought after producers in the world now.
