Aside from that, I really dislike weed. All it does is make me lethargic and give me a dry mouth.

The use of one is a criminal act...the use of the other isn't...thus one that uses MJ is automatically a criminal...and one that uses alcohol is not automatically a criminal.

Not directed at you personally, but frankly I'd prefer it if most people who went to the bars to drink, instead smoked and became anti-social. The world, and roads , would be a better place.

Personally I never saw the appeal of drinking to get drunk. I mean, do people
wake up in the morning and say 'Gee, tonight I think I'm going to get really shit faced, make a complete ass of myself, get into a fight, puke all over some girl, pass
out, and wake up feeling like complete shit?'

I just don't see the point. How in the hell is that FUN? I'd much rather hang out with good friends, smoke a wee bowl or 2, and talk to my friends.

hehe, don't know if i ever plan on puking on girls, i haven't puked on any yet so hopefully i never will. I think some people just can't handle there alcohol, i just like goin to the bars and partyin, most of the time partyin for me is goin out with friends and gettin wasted, dancin with girls and havin good times. Weed just makes me tired, and i get bored with the night, but its definitely got its place in my heart.

I think that I would...as I use alcohol to take my mind off of pain...but I would probably switch to the pain killers that I have standing presriptions for. The only thing that stops me from making the switch now is...my condition is going to worsen...so I do not want to develop a tolerance for the drugs now...and/or get addicted to them now.

If weed makes people stupid, alcohol turns people into complete imbeciles. Ever watch Cops?

I'm not gonna lie, I know some stupid fucking stoners. But the reality of it is, they would be stupid whether they smoked or not because some people are just born fucking idiots. But on the other hand, my close friends and I were all total stoners in highschool, graduated in the top 10 percent of our class and all went to prestigous 4 year universities. Hell, my highschool's validictorian was a stoner. You have to stop buying into stereotypes, they fuck up our society. And as far as your "evidence" comment, I'll trust a bunch of doctors over some asshole who's generalizing based on his few experiences...

I get drug tested for my day job. Getting liquored up is OK.

I quit drinking altogether. I'm a toker, not a drinker. It's so much better. Marijuana is better, cheaper, and you can stay hard on it when you're fucking!

I live on the North coast of Australia. About a half hour drive from Byron Bay and Nimbin, both towns notoriously known for the excessive use and acceptance of cannibis.
Just about everyone I have ever met from the area smokes, has smoked or is intending to smoke it.
Homegrown (bush) was my preferred but I still smoked my body weight in "Hydro".

It's pretty hard to be heaps anti on the subject as it's such a large part of our local culture.

I don't dig smoking anymore, but i've nothing against anyone who does.
Fuck I've tried it all, and if you think people who smoke are stupid try communicating with someone who is tripping on mushrooms. Better that, try communicating with someone while you yourself are on mushrooms. Now that is a feat in itself

Not trying to make anything personal, but I hate stereotypes whether they have to do with race, sex, drug use or whatever. I'm far from a junky though, and I barely smoke anymore. (Not because it hurts me in any way, but for the same reason you get sick of doing anything all the time). So even though you think i'm going through all this to feel better about myself or whatever, I just want you to know I'm not even trying to defend my lifestyle, I'm just saying you should get your facts straight and open your mind to other possibilities. Stubborness only breeds stupidity.

I think you are making this personal... You seem to have some deeprooted antipathy against weed for some reason, and it appears to be leading you to make absurd, unfounded generalizations about everyone who smokes pot.

Now im not saying weed is bad but...

I use to smoke weed all the time from 12 years old to about 18 or so. I dont really like smoking weed now and ill smoke on rare occasions or if im drinking. Why dont I like it anymore? It makes me stupid, I get mushmouth and slurr, I cant think worth a damn, I dont know what to do, I dont like to be around people or in public, I act completely retarded, I get blurred vision, the high will usually last about 4 hours if i smoke just a blunt (weird), my motor skills greatly decrease, its VERY hard for me to goto sleep on and keeps me up as if it were some sort of upper, if i smoke and then sleep after i come down ill sleep for a VERY long period of time, i stare off for long periods... and this is just the start..

I use to love smoking weed, i either had a far less version of the episodes above or not at all. I use to praise about how weed was good! how weed wasnt bad!. I use to smoke and it would help me concentrate when doing certain things on the computer like making art or websites (still does, only it takes MUCH longer to finish and i make alot of mistakes). I notice now adays its harder for me to think at times, I have pooor short term memory (long term is incredible according to doctors).

I feel somewhat confident saying weed HAS made me stupid and that weed isnt for everyone as it can effect us very differently person to person. I agree that weed is meant for a chilling drug and for just hanging out. I preffer alcohol over anything anyday, I love getting drunk and I have quite a strange tollerance to alcohol, i can drink obsurd amounts and still speak,act,drive and talk like i was sober, only im more social and focussed. Its very strange, I had a father that was an alcoholic in the past and I know i get my ways from him somewhat but it doesnt explain this weird tolerance of mine. Ive even had cops shake their head and look at me twice after i passed sobriety tests and then blew the breatheralizer. None of these times were from me driving. ;P
The legal limit here is i believe .08 and i had blown a .43 and still climbing, all of these times have been high and i was standing there sober as hell completely coherent. Each time the officer looks at me like wtF and a few times theyve had me take it twice. Its funny because anytime the officer asks who's the soberist to drive everyone always points to me.

Im not sure what is the cause of my weed experiences and alcohol tolerance. I have suspicion it could be a combination of both along with my heavy drug abuse starting at an early age.

Either way Im a prime example of what drugs and alcohol can do to a person mentally. Im not the same person anymore. Id go back and change it all in a second if i could..
