Remember the days of beepers?

Now we got cell hones and all other ways for annoying fucks to get in touch with you. Sometimes the juice needs some quiet time and needs to be alone.............

Back when you had abeeper they would beep you and you can always use the excuse I wasnt near aphone. Now we got ICQ, cell phones, email, and all this shit.

Buddy of mine called me , and when i am busy working on sometimes and in the "zone" I really do not like to be bothered. Calls my cell , calls house line, then calls my office line and so on.

Then say yo where the fuck were you I called you blablablabla line and this line and that line. Jeeeeeeeeez man chillllllllllllllllllllllll
Thank god at least for caller id

Yeah man, Its getting so whenever the phone rings and I'm in 'the zone' I get so fucking pissed and de-railed I start cussing at the phone. I hate it.

I think I'm psychologically striking back by becoming more and more of a hermit.

Someday we'll have tiny communicators like in star trek and there will be no escape. They won't ring, they'll just start talking at you.

3 pagers, 2 cells and 3 phone lines... they can all go off at once and the hubby acts like there isn't a noise within 10 miles. lol We just shut them off... thats what voice mail is for. Beepers mssgs? We know who is a have to call right back and a oh no, the sky is falling again for this or that person. lol

Hey Juicy... just tell them you switched to paid cell and that you were out of minutes.

I always tell people my phones are for MY convience, not there's and I will answer them if I feel like it... If they don't like it then they can pay the bills and I will always answer their calls....

Wizzo... it smore fun when someone calls about 10 times in a row to try to get the voicemail full and the hubby reaches over picks it up and sets it back down. They usually get ahold of me later then and ask wth?? He says the same thing basically... IF he feels like talking to someone he will, else wise they can go to h*ll. lol

I leave my ringers off, and my computers are always muted.

I also cannot stand when people will ICQ me and then if I do not answer that they will MSN me! O.M.G!!!!!!!

One of the pleasures of retiring from mainstream business was getting rid of everything except a house phone: which often has the ringer off unless I am expecting a call.

For me the communication 'revolution' started in the early seventies with a two-way radio connecting my car to the office. That was soon supplemented by a 'regular' car phone that had a handset which must have weighed a pound or more. And cost a fortune. The rest followed.

Getting back my privacy was a real pleasure.

Drives me nuts when people call your cell, your home, your office and leave the same message on all 3 places.

I hate phones and prefer e-mailing people much more.

yeah, the people that constantly call all your numbers suck. drives me up the wall. that's partly why i got rid of the home phone.

but one of my friends used to be real fucking annoying. he'd call the house phone. then the cell phone. then the cell phone, then the house phone, etc. all within about an hour or so.

then, if i didn't answer the phone, he'd show up at my door. now, if i'm not interested in talking to you on the phone, why do you think i want you in my face?

there are just times when you don't do that shit.

I've been delaying getting a cellphone for just this reason..but it looks like I will have to give in ultimately..the downside of not having one is I miss some business from time to time because I don't get the call in time.
