Welsh played a good game but then England made FAR too many mistakes in the first half.
Still - winning is all that counts though and we won. Welsh have proved themselves as a very tough team having had a good pop at taking out 2 of the top 3 teams. They'll be worth watching in future now their form has returned.Ignorance is never bliss.

That ref was a 'tard. Couldn't believe it. The welsh are about 5 metres away from the English line and the ball goes loose. A back comes in to pick it up, and continue the Welsh attack, and is tackled off the ball, right in front of the referee. No penalty. Of course, i'm not saying they lost because of that, but a try in the second half before England were able to build up their steam could have had a huge impact on the match.
The Welsh defence started to lose their discipline, and Johnny was in good form in the second half and made 'em pay for it. As an irish fan, the next best thing to Ireland going through would have been England going out, but oh well.

As for the ref - personally I thought he had a good game, not a great one - remember Irish and other Northern Hemisphere refs tend to try to keep the game moving so will use a lot of 'discretion'. There was a load of offsides from both teams which he allowed to go unpenalised!Comment
