I think in the future there will be an answer to these thieves and the sponsors who do nothing about it.
A company will have a spider crawling the web looking for our and others copyrighted material. When found we are notified and check to see who it was licensed to.
If it's not licensed we write to the holder of the site URL, if no reply come in 48 hours or the email bounces we issue DMCAs to the site owner, the sponsor (who will need to buy a license), the host, and I think if the registration is false the Registrants.
If they take no action we sue. I'm hoping lots of companies go the route of ND and ignore it. The cash will come in handy.
Might be more profitable to sue people than sell content. I know of a few companies who have gone that route.
