A United States federal commission investigating the 11 September 2001 attacks has voted to subpoena the Pentagon.
The panel said they were "dismayed" that documents they had requested about the country's air defences on the day of the attack had not been provided.
They subpoenaed the Federal Aviation Administration last month, accusing the organisation of slowing down their inquiry.
The 10-member, bipartisan panel has until May to report on its investigation into lapses in national security relating to the plane hijackings that led to the deaths of about 3,000 people.
They had requested information from the North American Aerospace Defense Command, Norad, which is responsible for protecting North American airspace.
Ministerial backing
"The commission has encountered some serious delays in obtaining needed documents from the Department of Defense," they said in a statement.
"We are especially dismayed by problems in the production of the records of activities of ... Norad and certain Air Force commands on September 11, 2001."
"The commission has therefore voted to issue a subpoena requiring the production of these records."
They issued a subpoena to the Federal Aviation Administration in October requesting information on air traffic control tracking of hijacked aircraft.
Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was said to back the commission's request for documentation.
"The commission has a statutory deadline to meet," said Defense Undersecretary for Intelligence, Stephen Cambone.
"The Secretary has directed that the department be responsive to held ensure the commission can meet its deadlines."

What's sort of comical about Directfiest and Massivecock and others is that you are clearly biased and seek out information which supports your own distorted views while ignoring the 99% of evidence that disproves your views. Saying that you are right and others "just don't get it" is not surprising. We are surrounded by this behavior everyday. For example, Jehovas Witness are convinced their beliefs are the correct beliefs and that Mormons and 7th Day Adventists are wrong because of the same basic behavior.
You attempt to mask your own bizarre behavior and the shortcomings of your own conspiracy theories by piling conspiracy on top of conspiracy which of course cannot be disproven... then you often rely on moronic defenses like calling people "sheep" or proclaiming they "are in denial" or brainwashed while ignoring the arguments put forward as the final word on the subject.
Please don't get me wrong... i think whackos like yourselves are a necessary part of society. You are somewhat like a sentinel species in the super organism that is our culture. Just as frogs who show warning signs of environment change by showing deformations and abnomalities... we have people like yourselves who are constantly paranoid, insecure, neurotic, derranged personalities who do nothing but cry wolf about the most ignorant things and innane things. You spare me the need to wonder if black helicopters are circling my house or if the CIA is recording my thoughts.

my understanding was that the job of NORAD was to track incoming threats... namely missiles, bombers, fighter planes etc. I dont think NORADs job encompasses tracking over 4000 commercial flights and who knows how many 1000's of small planes in the air at any given second in domestic air space.
i am not sure why that would make me a dumb fuck... i just assume that as usual, the kooks have nothing better to say in defense of their incredibly poor logic and delusional ranting and resort to name calling.

I will admit to having whacky consipracy theories now and again. I just think of these two things though:
1. You are free to vote for one of two parties. What if there is some kind of understanding between them on matters that don't appear to immediately influence your life? They slowly proceed and leave the rest of the idiots still getting high blood pressure over whether or not abortions should be legal.
2. If two people are in a country each vote counts 50% With America and now the EU they have crammed about 3-400 million people into each country essentially. What does your vote count for now? A brown stain maybe?Comment
