i've gone into the registry and deleted the proper keys etc, run hijackthis..........but this scumware keeps coming back......

I have been hit with that several times. Norton's latest DB update cleans that thing fine. I have used several spyware removal tools. Some free some paid for. I have to run everything once a week it seems. Between all the programs they seem to catch them all. I get these damn bugs when I am just looking for sites to trade with. Make sure you're running all these tools from Safe Mode. Many times, if there's a .dll loaded or a running process the spyware scanning program(s) can't shut down, it won't get rid of it.
Run all your scans from safemode

I had this problem on friday, i ended up having to run everything multiple times in safe mode to finally get rid of it.
Wish I could remember what tgp it was that gave it to me for a little payback.Comment
