I have 1000's and 1000's of photos that are very high resolution and I need to resize them quickly to thumbnail size and saved in addition at that size for galleries, what's the quickest way to do this? It would be for my own custom templates, so I don't need it to make me a gallery.

Fireworks acutally does a better job with this than Image Ready, and it's automatic.Originally posted by MetaMan
i use actions in image ready, u can plug that action onto your F1-F12 keys,
all u have to do is open the images and click the hot key and it will do it all for u. nothing works cleaner and compresses better imo.

It actually has a Batch Process feature. You pick the images you want to resize. You can adjust to fit a certain size, you can also shrink by percentage. Just designate a directory for the finished images, click the button and the program automatically batches the entire list. No need to open and resize each image individually.Originally posted by MetaMan
