the only way to know if a banner works is to put it into a program where you can monitor it's clicks. asking guys if they think it will work is not science, and many times wrong.
in other words test it in the real world, and you will know very fast.
if you have a whole bunch of banners you should consider having your own banner rotation script, promoting your own sites, which count hits and automatically display your banners in proportion to how many hits they generate. you can run banners only for your own sites, or trade with other sites and show other guys' banners in a proportion to how much they show yours. the scripts are not too expensive.
unusual banners do generate hits, but IMO as is, this banner will not do much. (but don't listen to me---test it in the real world.)
