I haven't seen anyone mention Flyin' Brian Pillman yet. He played for the Bengals and then was in WCW (I never like WWF/WWE), but he died really young. I believe I heard it was a heart attack caused by some sort of drug. I saw him in real life before he died. Nice looking guy, but not too smart, apparently.

With the exception of owen hart and stu hart, I've been in a lockeroom on shows with each of the performers mentioned here as deceased. All will be and are already sorely missed.
I'm a pro wrestler, and have seen time and time again drugs and fast lifestyle take star after star away from the fans and family that love them. Fact is, the fans want larger than life. Larger than life means risks, physical specimens not obtained without the assistance of illegal substances and a schedule that makes it very difficult to avoid using painkillers.
I just did a tour of france and germany and my body is battered and bruised, and I saw only the younger workers avoid the rush to the hofs to take the edge off of the bumps. It's just the way shit works, unfortunately.
Posting on gfy and not expecting a bunch of jackasses to make light of this or any situation, however, is short sighted and should be expected. People make choices in their lives that have these sort of consequences, and that's the tragedy, not the deaths themselves, but that it is an acceptable and overlooked practice while they are alive.
