How many of these schleps are offering medical/dental as well? How about 401K...
Look for a regular review period and raise.
Ask for Profit Sharing if available.
There are alot of chips on the table when actually hiring someone period.
If your a designer seriously consider your options usually you will be able to make more on your own, aside from the fact that most that hire you full time and exclusive are only interested in paying you enough to "Survive" not get ahead...
Even with all the Hack outsource whores...
Ya get what ya pay for so if your hiring consider that in itself.
